If I drank directly out of the straw, I would suck the liquid up too fast. You are also probably asking, why I would drink like that. You are probably either shaking your head or chuckling. Into my mouth goes the liquid, which I swish and swallow. I transfer the wet part of the straw into my mouth and release my finger from the top. I grab the straw while it is still in the drink, stick my finger over the hole at the top and pull the straw out of the liquid. Everyone drinks from a straw.īut do they drink from a straw like I drink from a straw? I bet I look like children do when they drink from a straw. You are thinking, who doesn’t? And I would agree with you. The only sweeteners in my margaritas are the natural sugars in the fruit itself and simple syrup. Today, I never use canned or overly sweetened fruit for my own margaritas. One was made with a coconut milk and the others were made with sweetened fruit. Two were made with liqueurs: raspberry (with Chambord) and melon (with Midori). I used to have to rattle off the flavors to my patrons and here are the flavors that I remember: strawberry, raspberry, coconut, peach, pineapple and melon. In fact, ours was the first chain Mexican restaurant in my area. Mexican wasn’t really that mainstream yet. Now, during the time I worked there, there weren’t many Mexican places yet in New England. I’ve spoken many times about working at that Mexican restaurant. This pineapple margarita is one for the summer: frosty, fruity, and refreshing. The only time that changes is in the summer, when I find the fruity margaritas more refreshing. Although, as I’ve stated before, I generally prefer plain margaritas over the fruity kind. This is my mouth watering pineapple margarita recipe! It’s slightly sweet, shiveringly cold and mouth wateringly good! I heart margaritasĪs anyone who knows me understands, I LOVE margaritas.
